Conor Maynard has given fans their first teasers about the follow-up to his 2012 debut album ‘Contrast’.

The ‘Can’t Say No’ singer arrived with a number one record last year, and is now planning the follow-up, which he promises will be about very different themes to his debut.

“Touring has given me new experiences to write about,” Conor revealed to the Daily Star. “Contrast was about girls.

“This [new album] will be about how my life has changed,” the ‘Vegas Girl’ singer explained. “Both the cool and horrible ways.”
The ‘Turn Around’ singer recently revealed he has high hopes to work with singer-songwriters like Ed Sheeran or John Mayer on his new record, while naming Drake as a potential dream collaborator for the future.

Conor Maynard, Little Nikki and Gabielle Aplin have been announced to play a show as part of MTV’s Brand New for 2013.

Both will be joined by Little Nikki, who has been shortlisted alongside Aplin for this year’s MTV ones to watch.

The show takes place in association with Emporio Armani Diamonds at London’s Forum in Kentish Town on January 22.

Tickets are on sale now at www.ticketmaster.co.uk.

Make sure you get your tickets ;D Good luck ^^

Conor Maynard says he was “the most starstruck” he has ever been after Rihanna complimented his music during a chance encounter on a plane flight.

The signer says he could barely speak when the ‘Where Have You Been’ singer approached him on board a plane and congratulated him on his recent chart success.

“I was on a plane back from LA to London and I was just sitting in my seat and then all of a sudden there was a tap on the chair,” Conor revealed to Getty this week. “I turned around and it was Rihanna.

“I just stared at her,” the 20 year-old singer explained. “She said, ‘Hi. Congratulations on everything!’ and then she wandered off.

“I tried to say something but I just kind of went, ‘Er… um… er’, and that’s all that came out,” Conor added. “It really wasn’t that great as a reply. That’s the most starstruck I have ever been.”

British pop star Conor Maynard has snubbed a string of film roles so he can concentrate on his music career.
The Can’t Say No hitmaker shot to fame in his native U.K. this year (12), and his rising profile has caught the eye of film bosses, who have been sending scripts for movie projects to his management.

However, his team have been keeping the offers out of Maynard’s view so he can focus on establishing himself as a music superstar.
He tells Britain’s Daily Star Sunday, “My manager gets sent film scripts but they want me to hold back on that side of things.

“They didn’t even tell me what films they were for in case I really wanted to do them. It’s good to know they want me though.
“Acting was always something I wanted to do growing up – until I was about 15 it was my main passion. When I’ve done what I want to do with music, I’ll hopefully get to do it if the offers are still there.”

Ooooh, I can imagine him as an actor later. I’m sure he’d do great :’D

Conor Maynard has revealed he’s a fan of X Factor star James Arthur.

Despite his television set being on the blink, the Vegas Girl singer has been keeping an eye on James’ performances on X Factor and reckons he could be the one to watch.

“I haven’t had a working TV in over a month. I was on Xtra Factor the other day though so that was really cool,” he said.

“I think James Arthur is up there for me as one of my favourites, he’s kind of rocky, a more husky kind of sound. I think he’s really cool.”

Asked if James wasn’t mainstream enough to win the contest, he said: “I think it’s always about moments. I think if someone goes out there and does something incredible, it can switch up everything and sometimes the people that are more like the dark horse do something one of the weeks that is incredible.”

Conor has been dubbed as the UK’s answer to Justin Bieber and has an army of loyal fans known as Mayniacs, but the singer revealed his family still treat him the same.

“I rarely ever get to go home any more, I’m so busy that I don’t get back to Brighton as much as I used to. I went down recently and my mum still made me take out the recycling,” he admitted.

“My brother actually got papped outside a club because they though it was me. He was standing there just absolutely laughing his head off and the paparazzi guy just looked so confused. We’ll see if fame corrupts him!”
